Start of sales of "Yakult" in Austria

Dec 2005

On December 9, 2005, Yakult Honsha Co., Ltd. (President, Sumiya Hori) will begin sales of “Yakult” in Austria.
In recent years, requests from consumers and large supermarket chains to expand sales of “Yakult” to stores in Austria have become stronger. Therefore, with the initiation of sales in mind, a sales and marketing company, Yakult Oesterreich GmbH, was established there on November 19, 2005.

Yakult Oesterreich GmbH is a 100% owned subsidiary company of Yakult Europe, and its aim in the Austrian market, which has already been widely penetrated by Europe’s largest dairy makers, is the establishment of a sales base and the penetration of the Yakult brand. “Yakult” will be imported from the Yakult Europe factory in the Netherlands and then sold in chain stores under the umbrella of the Rewe Group, which already has a business relationship with Yakult Germany . Later, the supermarkets selling Yakult will be gradually expanded.
